A pain management specialist working in Richmond, Henrico and Chesterfield is behind bars accused of an oxycodone distribution ring.

Dr. Clarence Scranage Jr. faces 19 federal felony drug charges in connection with the scheme that lasted nearly two years, according to prosecutors. He was arrested on Feb. 21 after a federal grand jury indicted him on the charges.

Richmond-area doctor charged with running oxycodone ‘pill mill’ –

A Richmond-area physician and self-described pain management specialist for the past five years, is facing federal charges in connection with an alleged oxycodone “pill mill” operation.

Clarence Scranage Jr., 61, who is said to have practiced in offices in Richmond and in Chesterfield and Henrico counties, was indicted on a charge of conspiracy to possess controlled substances with the intent to distribute (more…)

FBI and local authorities search for ‘Oxycodone bandit’ hitting stores statewide -…

RICHMOND, Va. — The FBI and law enforcement from multiple jurisdictions have combined efforts to identify and locate a suspect responsible for several robberies around Virginia.

Investigators believe robberies occurring in the counties of Henrico, Hanover, Arlington, and Prince William; and the cities of Fredericksburg, Williamsburg and Hampton are the work of one person.
