ND woman pleads not guilty to stealing painkillers – San Francisco Chronicle

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota woman has been charged with stealing painkillers that had been prescribed to patients at the VA Medical Center in Fargo.

Jessica Jo Stevens has pleaded not guilty to acquisition of a controlled substance by fraud or misrepresentation, and health care fraud.

Authorities say the 32-year-old Stevens obtained methadone, oxycodone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone and morphine.

Prescription pill ‘Queen of Longwood’ charged in oxycodone ring bust – WFTV Orlando

LONGWOOD, Fla. —

Drug enforcement agents said they busted a major oxycodone trafficking ring in Longwood on Wednesday.

Federal drug agents said Jennie McCown, known as the “The Queen of Longwood,” ran an oxycodone trafficking ring that spanned five central Florida counties

Authorities said McCown brought in 10,000 pills over six months, all while being on house arrest for the same crime.

Heywood GP pleads guilty to prescription breaches – Warrnambool Standard

A HEYWOOD doctor who ignored prescription requirements more than 500 times has been fined $25,000 and ordered to pay $20,000 costs.

Dr Frank Charles Fox, 60, pleaded guilty in the Portland Magistrates Court to 59 charges concerning 19 patients.

He prescribed excessive amounts of oxycodone and morphine, some to patients without a permit and over excessive time frames.
