A woman from Nogales, Sonora, Mexico was sentenced to three years in prison for her role in distribution of oxycodone pills along the Arizona border with Mexico, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a press release.

Leader of Mexican drug company sentenced for selling oxycodone – fox5sandiego.com

SAN DIEGO — The leader of a Mexican-based pharmaceutical drug distribution organization was sentenced Monday to 10 years and 1 month in prison by a U.S. District Court Judge in San Diego.

Eduardo Pena, 43, was sentenced for distributing more than $700,000 worth of oxycodone, according to acting U.S. Attorney Alana W. Robinson.

A U.S. citizen has been charged with importing more than 47,000 tables of oxycodone, a seizure believed to be the largest of its kind in at least the last five years, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
