BANGOR, Maine — A New York man will spend five years behind bars after he was sentenced Wednesday on a drug charge, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

William Waters, 33, of the Bronx, also will serve three years of supervised release once he completes his prison term on a charge of distributing oxycodone.

BANGOR, Maine — A Waterville man who recruited his girlfriend, mother, stepfather and other relatives to bring drugs from New York City to Maine for distribution in Kennebec County was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court to nearly 16 years in federal prison.

BANGOR, Maine — A New York woman who smuggled 645 oxycodone pills to Maine in a body cavity was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court to 22 months in federal prison.

Ebony Howard, 29, of the Bronx, also was sentenced to three years of supervised release after she completes her prison term.
