An Interstate 26 traffic stop led Johnson City police Wednesday to arrest two Georgia men on drug charges after hundreds of oxycodone and methadone pills were found in their truck, police said in a news release.

Braselton man among 13 sentenced in Oxycodone case – Access North Georgia

ATLANTA – A Braselton man was sentenced to three years probation Monday in a case involving 11 other defendants in a conspiracy prosecutors say involved over 30,000 Oxycodone pills.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Atlanta, the ringleader, 29 year old Kristen Noelle Goduta of Marietta, made fake prescriptions for the pills and recruited others to pass them.

Georgia pain clinic raided 2nd time by feds

TUCKER, Ga. (AP) Federal agents raided a pain clinic in Tucker for the second time in three weeks and arrested a doctor.

Officials said Dr. Michael Assevero was charged with conspiracy to distribute oxycodone during the raid Tuesday at Southern Health Management. The clinic owner and a worker were arrested during a raid June 14.
