Doctor charged with overprescribing 17000 Oxycodone pills: AG –

A Lackawanna County doctor has been charged with prescribing more than 17,000 Oxycodone pills to two patients over a two-year period, according to the state attorney general’s office.

Earlier this week, Dr. Louis Adamo, 60, of Moscow, was charged with prescribing outside accepted treatment principles and prescribing to a known drug-dependent person.

Seventh person convicted in oxycodone ring – wajr

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Monongalia County man became the seventh person to admit to participating in a 33-person drug ring that spanned from Michigan to West Virginia.

Codey Bonnette, 25, of Morgantown, admitted to distribution of oxycodone. The crime in question occurred in September 2015 in Monongalia County.

Bonnette faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000.

Oxycodone dealer who faced life sentence gets 15 years – The Winchester Star

WINCHESTER — Attorney Shelly Collette’s long-shot, everything-but-the-kitchen-sink defense failed to keep her client out of prison.

Oxycodone dealer Jimmy Ray Weatherholt Jr., who faced a maximum life sentence, received 15 years’ imprisonment in sentencing at Frederick County Circuit Court on Friday. Weatherholt, convicted of possession of oxycodone and conspiracy to sell oxycodone, was sentenced to a total of 60 years by Judge (more…)
