Lutz pharmacist sentenced in oxycodone case – Tbo.com

A Lutz doctor, arrested in a federal narcotic sweep in 2011, has been sentenced to 17 years in federal prison for distributing 50,000 oxycodone pills.

Police: Buck Road Office Building Site of Thefts

Several items from business suites in the 60 block of Buck Road have gone missing recently.

A business operator called police on Monday and said several items have gone missing over the past few weeks.

According to police, two laptops – a silver Dell netbook and an Acer laptop – were taken recently. An employee’s oxycodone medication was also missing from the office, (more…)

Pharmacist Ihab “Steve” Barsoum was sentenced to 17 years in federal prison for illegally distributing more than 50,000 oxycodone pills without a legitimate medical purpose and outside the usual course of professional practice.
