NEWPORT NEWS — A man stole thousands of dollars worth of prescription drugs from a pharmacy in Newport News.

Surveillance camera images show him walking into the Rite Aid at 671 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. around 8 p.m.

He held a T-shift over his face, walked to the pharmacy and demanded Oxycodone.

Workers handed him a bag of pills and he left the store.

The robber is black with a light complexion, 5’8″-5’9″ tall, in his mid- to late-20s, had a close cut beard and was wearing a white hat with dark writing on the front, a black hooded sweatshirt and dark blue jeans.
