KINSTON, LENOIR COUNTY –

A woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly being at the center of an illegal oxycodone operation, according to the Kinston Free Press.

Jammie Ree Williams, 32, is charged with multiple counts of trafficking in opium or heroin, obtaining controlled substances by fraud, uttering forged instruments and identity fraud.

The Kinston Free Press reports the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office said someone stole a prescription pad from a Kinston doctor’s office, then used it to write fraudulent prescriptions for oxycodone in Pink Hill and Kinston.

One of those fraudulent prescriptions went through at the Walgreens on the 4000 block of West Vernon Avenue on July 16.

Williams is under a $4 million bond.
