A man accused of using his wife’s day-care center as a base for his drug-dealing operation pleaded guilty in federal court Friday to conspiracy to distribute oxycodone.
Ralph Caldwell acknowledged that he sold oxycodone pills on three occasions to a confidential informant for police. Police said earlier that these transactions took place near Little Angels Daycare, which Caldwell’s wife runs in a Dumfries shopping center.
Police have said that Caldwell stored a gun in the day-care center and once drove children in a school van while drinking liquid codeine.
In his guilty plea, Caldwell acknowledged involvement in the sale of 800 to 3,786 oxycodone pills to Prince William County customers between 2011 and 2014.
He will be sentenced in September.
