Couple charged after cocaine, oxycodone seized in drug raid 0 – Fort McMurray Today

Two Fort McMurray residents are facing drug trafficking charges, after police seized cocaine and oxycodone from the couple’s Timberlea home.

According to police, the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team found 85 grams of cocaine, 108 oxycodone pills, drug trafficking paraphernalia, two vehicles and over $17,000 in cash at the Lougheed Drive apartment of David, 66, and Maureen Grant, 57.

Officers say the drugs have an estimated street value of $19,000.

Wood Buffalo RCMP drug officers and a canine unit provided additional assistance.

David is already facing three charges of breach of recognizance related to charges laid during a previous ALERT investigation, which concluded in May 2013. At that time, police seized 170 grams of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, drug trafficking paraphernalia, nearly $12,000 cash, and a 2008 Jeep Commander.

The two accused were released on bail with conditions. They will make a court appearances on July 30 in Fort McMurray.
