EL CAJON, Calif. — Police released video images of a brazen burglar who broke into an East County pharmacy and helped himself to a stash of prescription painkillers.

The man broke in to the Kaiser Permanente Clinic on South Travelodge Drive in El Cajon on Aug. 18 and left with an undisclosed amount of the prescription painkiller Oxycodone. At 8:21 p.m.,  a security camera recorded the man hunched over near the door of the south entrance, where police say he smashed the glass to enter the building.

“He then worked his way into the pharmacy, broke a window there and jumped the counter and stole an unknown amount of narcotics,” said El Cajon police Lt. Mark Coit.

Investigators said the burglar is a white man in his 50s.  He is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and was wearing tan cargo pants, a dark polo shirt, green latex gloves and a baseball cap.

If you have information that can help investigators call the El Cajon Police Department at 619-441-5507.
