Whitefield – A man from Whitefield is going to prison for more than three years for taking part in a drug ring that brought oxycodone into the state.
40-year-old Peter Poland was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Bangor.
He pleaded guilty in April, admitted that he helped funnel oxycodone into Maine from a dealer in Connecticut, then distributed it in Kennebec and Cumberland counties.
At least nine other people have also been charged in connection with the drug operation.
Poland was ordered to serve 3 years supervised release when he’s out of prison.
