Seven of 12 people arrested Thursday on drug and racketeering charges as part of a multi-agency investigation are expected in court this morning.
A multi-agency task force, which dubbed the drug probe “Operation Keystone Express,” nabbed the 12 suspects from Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Broward and Miami-Dade counties, a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s spokeswoman announced.
The Multi-Agency Diversion Task Force — made up of Drug Enforcement Administration agents, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the sheriff’s office, Palm Beach Gardens Police and Delray Beach Police among others — arrested the 12 on charges including trafficking in oxycodone, sale of cocaine, sale of Xanax and racketeering.
Authorities confiscated five firearms, a shot gun, an assault rifle and three handguns, 337 prescription pills, three MDMA pills, almost 3 grams of marijuana and almost $4,000, sheriff’s spokeswoman Teri Barbera said.
Those arrested are: Joel Bailey, 22, of Palm City; Daniel F. Balena, 34, of Boca Raton; Steven Davis, 47, of Delray Beach; Wesley Gaynor, 62; Kaamilya Head, 34; Maxine Honio, 51, of Boca Raton; Dwayne Hudson, 49; Jerome J. Johnson, 44, of West Palm Beach; Nathaniel Smith Jr., 30, of Delray Beach; Guy G. Squillante, 54, of Delray Beach; Belinda Wright Johnson, 51, of Delray Beach; David Zucker, 58, of Delray Beach.
