Vermont man pleads not guilty to administering fatal dose of Oxycodone to friend – The Republic

BURLINGTON, Vt. — A 52-year-old Vermont man has pleaded not guilty to a charge that he delivered a fatal dose of Oxycodone to a friend last winter.

Kenneth Stephens, of Burlington, faces a federal charge of selling or dispensing a regulated drug with death resulting. He also pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor marijuana charge Friday in Superior Court in Burlington.

Stephens is charged in connection with the overdose death of 47-year-old Carl Wilson in Burlington on Jan. 8.

According to the Burlington Free Press, Stephens faces a maximum sentence of life in prison on the federal charge. He is being held without bail in the Northwest Correctional Facility in St. Albans.
