New York Man Caught Trying to Fill Fake Rx at Fairfield CVS –

A 28-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after he attempted to fill out a fake prescription at CVS Pharmacy on Post Road.

According to police, Donald McCann of 15 Robinson Ave., Bedford Hills, NY, arrived at the store and submitted prescriptions for oxycodone and naprosyn. After he left the store, the pharmacist called to confirm the prescriptions with the doctor listed on the forms who confirmed that they were forged, police said.

When McCann returned to the store to pick up his prescriptions, he was met by officers. He told police that the prescription slips were given to him by a friend, which he refused to identify. Officers also found that McCann filled out another fake prescription on April 21, which was taken as evidence.

McCann was charged with second-degree forgery, possession of illegal prescription drugs and prohibited action-controlled substance. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 30.
