A Greenwich woman faces multiple charges stemming from the use of a forged prescription to obtain the powerful painkiller oxycodone from a local pharmacy.
Jessica Riddle, 26, who gave an address of 42 Hartford Ave., surrendered May 16 to police who obtained the arrest warrant after “investigative efforts determined there was a fraudelent prescription. The investigation is continuing,” said Greenwich Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray.
Riddle was charged with obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, obtaining a controlled substance by forgery, illegal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree forgery, conspiracy and criminal attempt. The charges stem from a Jan. 31 incident at Grannick’s Pharmacy, 277 Greenwich Ave.
She was released on a written promise to appear May 30 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Town Woman Faces Prescription Fraud Charges – Patch.com
A 43-year-old Sheboygan man was charged with several drug offenses Friday for allegedly selling prescription narcotics to two undercover informants recently.
According to a criminal complaint:
Benjamin E. Walker, 1714 Huron Ave., sold Percocet and oxycodone to the informants in February, March and on Tuesday, May 15.
The informants told police that they considered Walker to be dangerous, that they feared retaliation from Walker, and that he “must be taken off our streets.”
Police went to Walker’s home on Thursday armed with a search warrant and found several pills, including Percocet, codeine, Xanax and oxycodone.
Walker’s house is less than 1,000 feet from Jefferson Elementary School.
Walker is charged with three counts of selling narcotics near a school, maintaining a drug-trafficking place, of possessing narcotics and possessing a controlled substance.
If convicted on all counts, he could be imprisoned 48 years and one month.

SOMERVILLE, N.J. (AP) — Authorities in central New Jersey have accused a Queens, N.Y., man of selling nearly 3,000 Viagra and Cialis pills worth $45,000 to an undercover police officer.
Authorities say the detective met 62-year-old Matadeen Chandrika near a service station on Route 22 in Somerville.
Authorities say police also found three oxycodone pills in Chandrika’s vehicle.
He’s held on $45,000 bail, charged with distribution and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
It’s not known whether he has retained a lawyer.

NYC man accused of selling Viagra, Cialis in NJ – WRGB
Nicholas Szarawarski, 30, of Manalapan, was arrested by a county detective for allegedly selling Oxycodone in Manalapan to him on two separate dates in March, according to an arrest warrant issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office today.
Detective Juan Mazariegos of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office was sold Oxycodone from Szarawarski within close proximity of the Manalapan Recreation Center and Manalapan High School on two different dates in early March.
Szarawarski was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute a CDS, distributing a CDS, distribution of a CDS within 500 feet of a public park, possession with intent to distribute a CDS within 500 feet of a public park, distributing a CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and possession with an intent to distribute a CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
Szarawarski is currently lodged in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of a $50,000 bail with a 10 percent bond.

MOUNT OLIVE TWP. – Police were apparently too late to stop someone from stealing a Blackberry smart phone stolen on Saturday, May 12, from a George Street home.
Police went to the home in response to an activated burglar alarm. They found the rear door unlocked and spoke with the victim who said missing items included a Coach purse, credit cards and a Blackberry.
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit responded to assist with a tracking dog and detectives processed the crime scene.

• Failure to wear a seat belt led to the arrest of two men for possession of oxycodone on Thursday, May 10.
Officer Michael Zarro was on patrol in the Budd Lake section of town at 2:48 p.m., when he saw a 2012 Ford traveling on Route 46 in which the driver allegedly was not wearing a seatbelt.
Zarro stopped the car and spoke with the driver, Shane Connors, 26, of Plattsburg, N.Y. and passenger, Sean Murray, 21,` of Hopatcong.
While speaking with the occupants, Zarro allegedly saw an oxycodone pill in the passenger compartment.
The vehicle was impounded and towed to police headquarters.
Murray was charged with possession of oxycodone and released on his own recognizance. Connors was charged with possession of oxycodone, driving while suspended, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt. He was held in the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail. A search warrant allegedly disclosed eight more oxycodone pills, a suboxone pill, and two small dime bags of marijuana.. Connors was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of suboxone, and possession of oxycodone at which time bail was set at $10,000 for the additional violations.
A Hackettstown man was charged on Friday, May 11, with stealing a check for nearly $4,000 from the company that had previously fired him.
Police were called on May 3 of an alleged check fraud that had occurred in 2011. The owner of a company told Officer William Gremmo that he had fired an employee in 2011 and recently determined that the employee had stolen a check and cashed it for $3,758.26.
The investigation culminated with the arrest of Steven Dippel Jr., 27. Dippel was charged with theft and fraud and was released on his own recognizance pending a court hearing.
• A Budd Lake couple was charged with marijuana possession on Sunday, May 1`3, after police were called for a report of drug use at the Village Green apartment.
Police went to building 7 where they smelled the odor of burning marijuana from an apartment.
Harry Peterson, 39, answered at the door but allegedly refused to allow police to enter.
Another resident, Karen Osorio, 60, then allegedly shoved Officer Anthony Gardner and tried to shut the door in his face, according to police.
Gardner arrested Osorio and police allegedly located a jar which contained suspected marijuana.
Peterson was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Osorio was charged with disorderly conduct. Both were released on their own recognizance pending a court hearing.
• A 17-year-old Sparta boy was charged with shoplifting a stereo amplifier worth $`1`18 from the WalMart at the ITC South mall on Saturday, May 12.
Police were called to the store where the youth was in custody. He was turned over to the custody of a parent pending a hearing on the charge.
